The long tradition of artisan craft and expert tailoring in Vietnam, for which the country is globally known, was on full display during the Asian Fashion Meets Tokyo, Vietnam Fall 2016 show, which featured designer Nguyen Cong Tri. Elaborate knitwear that included colorful headpieces that resembled fishing nets, were the most jaw-dropping looks of the show, but the richness of detail carried through the entire collection even on the more subtle monochromatic pieces where complicated pleating and embroidery overlays brought depth and dimension.
