Fergie rocks a custom-made dress by The Blonds, great for the stage not so much for real life/Image: Courtesy of The Blonds
Dear Haikusue:
I have just had my 40th birthday, and am feeling a little depressed. Pretty much everyone I know nags me about my wardrobe and how it is "too young" or "to silly" for my age. Not to brag, but I've had baby, and worked hard to get my shape back, and I feel I look great in really fashion-forward looks similar to what you might see on Lady Gaga or Fergie. Why should I hide myself in baggy matronly dresses and pants suits; don't I have the right to be fashionable after forty?
Signed,
Still Smokin' in Pacific Heights
