MAC make-up artists and the Joekim Davie Lenny Nielsen for Oops hair team put their skills and creativity to work to create the post-zombie apocalypse look for the Barbara I Gongini Spring 2017 runway show. An ingenious technique, which used a mixture of eyelash glue and liquid foundation, gave skin a peeling, plague-like appearance while heavy shadow in eye sockets and cheeks gave the hollowed look of the undead. Hair, which wasn't necessarily 'zombie' but was still very unusual, was slicked down and wrapped around the head to create a round, almost helmet like, shape. The overall effect was a beautiful monster; wild, somewhat frightening, and definitely the most memorable of the entire season.
