Over the past 9 seasons that Style Wylde has covered Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, one thing has become abundantly clear, in Japan, runway shows are always packed with unexpected elements. The Ha-Ha Fall 2016 show was the perfect example of this, with a wild array of unexpected details such as light up bulbs on coats, convertible pants, and slogan embroidery on the backs of jackets, paired with an unusual staging that showed off the design team's vast creativity. Shown in a series of vignettes, all of which followed the theme of the show 'What Makes You Happy', the collection truly had something for everyone, be it kids, parents, grandparents or otherworldly beings.
