"The Summer of 69. Grainy photographs taken at the beach. Light and sheer fabrics billowing in the breeze, the unexpected glimpse of skin...innocent or provocative" read the show notes at the Houghton Spring 2016 show where embroidery, crochet, silks  and lace all made an appearance.  Hyper feminine and delicate but still throughly modern the pieces were extremely appealing, and radiated easy-chic attitude.
