Freedom, and euphoria experienced through adventure and world travel made for an energetic and uplifting inspiration at the Mardou & Dean Spring 2016 collection which showed during Copenhagen Fashion Week on Friday. In the official run of show notes the  brand's creative director, Ingrid Bredholt explained her point of view for this season as:

"I am fascinated with speed, machines and journeys. I have worked with shapes influenced by the human illustration of movement and machine structures.”

A fantastic mix of wearable neutrals and wild, eye-popping pieces, there is plenty for everyone to love in this collection, but for me, my heart was lost to the cool notch-cut leather jackets that made an appearance early in the collection and the exquisitely draped sequined gowns that came down the runway a little later in the show.
