A former prize fighting boxer turned fashion designer, Arashi Yanagawa, staged a dark and highly dramatic presentation for his JOHNLAWRENCESULLIVAN Fall 2015 runway show. Set in a nearly pitch black room, with models stepping into and walking around a wall-less white box before standing steadfast and still in the center square, the show allowed the collection's clean lines and exquisite construction to take center stage.

Said to be named as an homage to the early 20th century heavyweight champion boxer John Lawrence Sullivan aka "Boston Strong Boy", the brand has seen a steadily rising popularity in Japan since its founding in 2003. Looking at the Fall 2015 collection, it's easy to see why, the pieces were masculine in vibe for both men and women, but remain elegant and luxe.
