Master of the gorgeous gown, Bibhu Mohapatra hasn't had to 'prove' himself as a leader among American red-carpet worthy designers in many seasons, but that's exactly what he did with a Spring 2015 collection that virtually redefined glamour. Inspired by muse, writer, heiress and political activist Nancy Cunard, who was known as much for her civil activism as she was for her startling individual style, Mohapatra created a stunning array of pieces that were both powerfully graphic and exquisitely executed.

A very strong showing in sportswear pieces brought a roundness to the collection, and made it accessible to a large variety of women of all ages. But let's be honest, the gowns were so fantastic  and so surprisingly varied running from ultra delicate to sleek and almost sporty, it was difficult to leave the show thinking about anything else.
