Backstage at the Hiromi Asai Fall 2016 collection was unusually serene as the professional team from Shiseido Japan worked to create a hair and beauty look that was as detailed and delicate as the Kimono models would wear on the runway. Hair was done in a modernized hybrid between a French twist and braid, with ends left purposefully 'rough'. Make up was lightly bronzed with just a hint of sparkle, via actual golden flakes, lighting up the temples.
