Henrik Vibskov is the ultimate showman. His collections are always deeply personal but executed with a huge amount of theatrical flair. The pieces themselves are exquisite in their construction, utterly imaginative, yet still somehow wholly wearable for a wide variety of bodies. This is what anyone who has followed the career of the Danish designer has come to expect.

And yet, even when you knew what to expect from a Henrik Vibskov show, somehow the dazzling production of the Spring 2024 runway show, and the breath takingly perfect pieces it contained, came as a surprise.

There was almost too much going on to describe effectively. A live rap performance paired with classical music, models being “unveiled” in giant fabric rings, while other models stalked each other around the makeshift boxing arena; it was a HUGE show.

But even with all of that, the most important attribute was not lost, the clothes looked fantastic. Vibskov is a master tailor and that really stood out in his perfectly cut jackets and coats. He is also widely inventive, changing up silhouettes with unexpected pockets, pops of print, and adding draping to dresses that showed a new, softer, more feminine side to his point of view.
