Paris: Anrealage Fall 2015

It's no secret, the decamping of avant-garde brand Anrealage from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo to the Paris shows was a major blow to Japanese fashion fans. World famous for both innovation and creativity the brand was not only a highlight of the Tokyo collections, but a highlight of the global season. But the loss for Tokyo, was definitely a win for Paris, and thankfully SW has photographers everywhere so we are still able to bring our readers images from the collection.

For Fall 2015, Anrealage played in familiar territory for the brand, the intersection between fashion and technology, namely UV light reactive materials used in surprising and creative ways. Models emerged from darkness in what appeared to be black and white pieces that revealed their vibrant prints upon contact with the UV spotlights that were hung from above. And while this isn't the first time the brand has used light reactive technology, or the first time other brands have used it for that matter, it is the level of construction and fashion forward thoughtfulness put into each piece that elevates the collection to a true show stopper. Or to put it plainly, lots of brands are using tech to create gimmicky collections, but when Anrealage does it, it is truly wearable art.

Here are our favorite shots from the show, click on any image to enlarge.
