The weather outside may be all over the map but there are plenty of reasons to get out of the house this weekend including:

Starting Wednesday:

From 11AM-6PM Veronica Swanson Beard, co-designer of the newly launched jacket line Veronica Beard which she co-designs with her sister-in law and Veronica Miele Beard*  will bring her collection of  jackets to  Wilkes Bashford in Union Square for an in-store appearance and trunk show.

The collection, which caused a stir at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week this past February, features preppy-inspired tailoring with snap-in-and snap out dickeys that give the pieces a uniquely versatile quality-and make them perfect for the current cool- spring weather. 

Post-trunk show the Veronica Beard line will be carried exclusively at Wilkes Bashford.   

*This is not a misprint, two Veronicas married a set of brothers!

Also on Thursday:

Appel & Franks Chic Summer Soiree  at the Regency Center Summer Room featuring 70+ designers, cocktails and beauty treatments gets underway at 5pm. Tickets are still available at Appel And Frank, or at the door for $10.
