Who says San Francisco is over run with holiday bazaars and indie-craft fairs? Not the promoters of The Real Mercantile, who promise Artisan! Artisan! Artisan! handmade gifts and foodstuffs this Wednesday and next at Chez Poulet in the Mission. Stop by 5-9pm to check out the goods. 3359 Caesar Chavez.
Also on Thursday, The Mission Community Market will hold it's last event until April 2011! Swing by 22nd and Bartlett from 4-8PM for the best of the neighborhood's crafts, foods, and locally produced gifts, not to mention a special performance by SW favorite The Heated.
Voted the Bay Guardian's Best Art Gallery, Secession Art and Design is holding it's holiday party/in-store event on Friday from 6:30-9:30PM sponsored by EkoTable.com, Celebrate the season and shop local designers including: Colleen Mauer, Twelve Designs, and Heather Robinson.
As the weekend rolls around, if you have somehow managed to miss the already numerous indie craft/holiday bazaars and local focused events never fear, RENEGADE IS HERE. Saturday and Sunday, The Exhibition Concourse on 7th Street in SOMA, throws open it's doors to those rebellious crafters, artists, and down home chefs of the Renegade Craft Fair. 11AM-7PM.
Across the bay, but more than worth traveling for Serial Cultural gets into the holiday spirit on Sunday with an open studio sale featuring up to 50% off dresses and tops from the locally based label, as well as pieces from Stars and Ravens, and Big Things Ahead. 909 45th Ave. in Oakland. 1-5PM.
And last, but definitely not least, organizers at the San Francisco Fashion and Merchants Alliance invite you to peruse the offerings at their own holiday craft/indie bazaar, called simply "Indie Bazaar". Music, libations, styling demos and over 40 fashion and design vendors will all be on hand at Brief Space in the Meteron. 11-6PM
