Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 9:40AM Local love: March trunk, Cary Lane party highlight week's events

Here at SW we adore boutiques that carry the best high-profile and emerging designers from New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and around the world. But we also recognize that the SF Bay Area is home to many great designers as well, so this week we are honing in on the events that feature some of the best in local fashion starting with:
Thursday November 17th
Matt Dick + March Trunk Show
A veritable force in the local creative scene, designer Matt Dick has had a hand in developing some of the area's most stand out products and places including past work with Yagi Design, Bardessono, Blue Bottle, International Orange, and Bar Agricole. This month he brings his talents to March SF, for an exclusive collaborative line inspired by "by the way people go to work around the world (a rice farmer in the Korean countryside, a shepherd in the Middle East, hewn in natural fabrics (hemp, silk, cotton, wool) with deconstructed details, careful draping and different finishing techniques including natural over-dye processes, like indigo." Puruse the collection during the official trunk show 2-7PM, or shop the pieces on your own schedule all month long. 3075 Sacramento Street; MARCHSF for more details.
