On Monday night, SW attended the San Francisco launch party of Levi's new Curve ID denim line. Party guests were treated to an early fitting of the new jeans line, which emphasizes shape over size.
Curve ID jeans come in "slight curve," "demi curve," and "bold curve." (SW especially likes the naming of the "bold curve.") You Nguyen, Levi's senior vice president of women's merchandising and design, presented the three fits on three women who wear the same waist size, but have different body types. He also demonstrated the Curve ID theory of measurement, taking into account the natural bend of the waist and the difference between the measurement of a woman's hip and seat.

The result: a very good fit for jeans at this price point ($59.50 and up). The jeans come in a variety of styles, including skinny, straight, and bootcut. SW especially liked this pair of black skinny jeans with zippers - snapped up fast, we predict they'll be a hot seller.
If you're in the Bay Area and want to try Curve ID, bring a pair of jeans that no longer fit you to Levi's at Union Square in San Francisco this Friday, September 17. Levi's will give your old jeans to Goodwill and give you a new pair of Curve ID jeans for free.
