If ever proof was needed that the Bay Area has a vibrant, eclectic live music scene with literally something for everyone, this weekend is it. So whether Method Man is your thing, or you are more of a Tokyo Raid fan, get out there and groove San Francisco, and support live music around the bay including:
Thursday:
In SF: At Slim's its a night of Chillwave vs. Folk Rock with RX Bandits, and The Builders and The Butchers with Zechs Marquis Doors at 8pm, $16. Foreign Cinema and Tokyo Raid create and unusual shoegaze/indie-punk lineup at the El Rio Doors at 8, $6. Popscene has southern goth-rockers The Costellations Doors at 8pm, $8 for 21 and over, $10 for 18 and over. At The Rickshaw Stop Rubbersidedown, Ol' Cheeky Bastards, and Flounder are doing the retro-rock thing. Doors at 8pm, $10.
Friday:
Christina Espinoza of The heated/Image: The Heated
In SF: SW favorite The Heated takes the stage at the SF Underground Market at 7pm. Pre-registration required for entry to the show, do it here, then check out this soon-to-be-huge local girl who rocks. Over at Cafe du Nord, it's all about modern twang with a twist as Red Meat, Dave Gleason, and the Golden Cadillacs bring honky-tonk back to the San Francisco scene. Jonesing for something a little harder? Black metal meets Drone Doom at Slims with Wolves in the Throne Room and Earth with Lori Goldston Doors at 9, $16.
In the east bay: Jaguar Love, and Make Me Chambers, get their indie-rock on at the Uptown. While The Pack and Bobby Brackins (formerly Young Bob of Go Dav) get it going at The New Parish.
Saturday:

In SF: Mod-post punk rocks the Hemlock Tavern with The Paranoids, Midnight Strangers ( CD release party) and Pets. Door 9:30 $6 Advance tickets on sale via Brown Paper Tickets. Door 9:30 $6. Bottom of the Hill is going progressive punk with Judgement Day, Battle Hooch, and 7 Orange ABC
In the east bay: Method Man at Shattuck Down Low in Berkeley tix still available for $35 via Ineffabble Records. 924 Gilman has a good old fashioned Punk/Thrash line-up with Static Thought, Gypsyhawk At Our Heels, Trouble Coast, Keeping Score, and Dark Days.
And finally, last but not least, five-time Grammy nominated Omar Sosa performing Afro-Cuban Jazz at Yoshi's in Jack London Square.
