On Wednesday evening an eclectic mix of businessmen, bloggers and San Francisco's elite style set packed into the new Industrie Denim flagship store in downtown San Francisco to celebrate the official launch of the boutique retail chain. A collaboration between locally based Levi's and apparel industry veterans Mark Werts (Founder of American Rag), Larry Russ and Rudolphe Faulcon, Industrie Denim is set to revolutionize the denim shopping experience by bringing an impeccably curated collection of brands (we spotted everything from Acne, to Nudie, to Comune to high-end Levi's) under one roof.
"We chose brands for the store based on their craftsmanship, and for their heritage esthetic." Larry Russ told Style Wylde during the party. "We also wanted to ensure that we had a variety of fits, not every brand is cut to work on every shape. When a customer comes in to this store our talented team will be able to direct them to the exact brand that best suits their shape."
"We chose San Francisco as one of the first locations because the world's greatest denim brands were all born here, period." Mark Werts added.
Easily one of the most buzzed about openings in recent months with previous write-ups in everything from Pop Sugar to California Apparel News, the Industrie launch party attracted a wide variety of attendees including local blogging notables: Adelle from Fashionista Lab, Jeanne from Shop Sweet things, Annie from Poetic and Chic and PR Maven Lindsay Stevens (pictured right)
The San Francisco Industrie Denim flagship store is located at 300 Grant Avenue. In honor of the opening 10% off all sales through tomorrow (12/2) benefit the San Francisco Film Society.
Apologies to the lovely Lindsay Stevens, PR Maven extraordinaire, whom are interns incorrectly identified as Melissa from the blog Savvy in San Francisco. Sorry for the mix-up Lindsay, and rest assured said interns will be swiftly and harshly punished!
