Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 11:28AM Stars come out for New York Fashion Week
When not admiring the work of some the world's greatest design houses, New York Fashion Week attendees can amuse themselves by star-spotting in the tents and in the lobby between the presentations.
This season along with the usual suspects whom were seen at many of the shows ( i.e. Kelly Rowland, Sarah Jessica Parker and just about all of the 'Real Housewives) the SW team had the great pleasure of seeing and in some cases interacting with some of the more eccentric stars from Hollywood, the music industry, and the small screen including:

Rebecca Romijn and Alan Cummings smiled, nodded and chatted with their seat mate at the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2011 runway presentation while a virtual swarm of photographers and fans circled, while a few seats away Eric McCormack studied the collection intently.

Front row at the Mik Cire show the extremely talented and enigmatic Perry Farrell graciously posed with his beautiful wife Etty Lau Farrell. (It should be noted that Etty proved to be as patient as she is lovely by kindly offering to snap iPhone photos for a certain SW editor who lost all sense of professionalism and gushed to pair about her love for Jane's Addiction directly after the show.- Thank you Etty!) Meanwhile across the aisle, actress and American Pie alum Shannon Elizabeth smiled happily as she stopped to pose directly in front of the media pit.

There were almost too many stars to count at the Ports 1961 show, but by far the most friendly was Work of Art contestant Peregrine Honig whose cheerfulness and willingness to strike a silly pose could only be matched by her cohorts New York Magazine Art Critic ( and Work of Art judge) Jerry Saltz and Work of Art contestant ( and winner) Abdi Farah whom the SW team met in the lobby the next day.

Last but certainly not least, no Fashion Week could be complete without spotting two of the biggest names in fashion,star-stylists and Bah-nan-nahs business woman Rachel Zoe sitting front and center at Prabal Gurung, and the world's most influential art director (and stealer of America's heart) Grace Coddington heading into Narciso Rodriguez.
