istock photoDear Haikusue:
I have spent the last 4 years toiling at a soul-sucking copy writing job that pays well, but is miserable. Between balancing bosses that only want the most literal catch phrases and the cheesiest tag lines, and the long 80 hour weeks I no longer have any time for any personal creative projects or writing. I've been saving up funds however and have enough to take a "break" from working for about six months to finish up the novel I wanted to write and pursue a more creative career. My friends say this is job-suicide and I am crazy for even considering walking on a well paying gig in this economy. What do you think?
Signed,
