Dear Haikusue:
For the last two years my work status has been sketchy. Between making bad decisions like leaving a boring but stable job for an 'exciting' one that quickly became unbearable do to a mentally unstable boss, or choosing companies with no profit-generating potential ( hello dot bomb 2.0) my resume looks like a series of under six month gigs and gaps. I now have the opportunity to interview for a great job, that is in my chosen field and would offer excellent pay and benefits, but I am worried that my lack luster resume will get me laughed out of the inbox before I get my foot in the door, and that makes me not want to bother applying at all. What should I do?
Signed,
Hopeless in the Excelsior
