Fashion feature: Miami Swim Week 2013 wraps up

One of the most eclectic group of collections ever shown at Swim Week, The Mercedes Benz 2013 Resort Swim runways featured a wild mix of glitter, glamour, sport and fun. Sunday and Monday's designers seemed to be channeling a true sense of optimism and celebration as they unveiled their looks for the coming year. Some of our favorite suits came from:

Red Carter - Inspired by the glory days of Studio 54 and complete with disco ball purses and psychedelic patterns, designer Red Carter proved once again that his unique eye and sharp design can truly elevate beach pieces without crossing over into the unwearable or confusing.

Wildfox - A wild mash up of sexy, fun, and vintage patriotic prints, the Wildfox show had something for everyone be it Bettie Page pin-up Bikinis or British Flag print one pieces.

Cote d'Or - Painterly, almost batik-in spirit prints mixed with unusual silhouettes and hyper-sexy cutouts gave the Cote d'Or collection a fresh appeal. Bonus points: many of the pieces were so well cut, and so generous on the coverage front that they could easily be pictured paired with a simple wrap skirt for a knock-out day to night look.
