As the official start of summer quickly approaches the local industry is going into high gear with a series of uniquely San Francisco events taking place this week and next including:
Thursday:

San Francisco Fashion and Merchants Alliance latest installment of
The Economics of Art Fashion Mash-up, features an all-female expert panel this month discussing Women Entrepreneurs. $10 donation at the door. SFFAMA for more details.
Saturday:
Students from The Art Institute of California well showcase their talents in an inspired-by-San Francisco- neighborhoods runway show, The United Streets of Fashion, at the San Francisco Design Center. 25 designers selected for their vision, talent and execution will show over 100 looks ranging from "Marina" to "Mission" to everything in between. $20 general admission ( in advance) $25 at the door. 7PM reception, 8PM show. Collectively, Californian,an evening of local fashion design, music and cocktails comes to Space Gallery. Runway show featuring, Lorian Lindsay, Astos, Stella and Dot, Soy Savvy, and SW favorite Kitty Andrews Millinery. Doors at 7pm RSVP to event's official Facebook listing .

Saturday, June 26th
San Francisco goes ready tow ear with Prêt-à-Porter, a sumer fashion show featuring Anya Tatarenko, Citizen Body Boutique, Ichi-V Handbags,Maggie Trevor Swimwear, Malin Namita Couture, Rock Chiq, Tosca Soraya, and 1st Gear Men's (under)Wear.
