Cynthia Anderson Coming in July: Fashion Fights AIDS

As most of us spend the summer soaking up the sun, and taking time off work to relax and enjoy all the bay area has to offer, it's easy to forget that for millions of Americans HIV and AIDS make life a daily struggle where 'relaxing and enjoying life" are rare events. Although treatment has come a long way in the last 30 years there is still no cure. An life-sustaining treatments are expensive.
For many patients living in poverty, or close to the poverty line help from local organizations such as the San Francisco Aids Foundation is essential to survival, but with economic woes plaguing local governments and major donors, the essential help provided by the San Francisco Aids Foundation is at risk.
On July 16th local Fashion designers, models, and event promoters are gathering to lend support to the San Francisco Aids foundation and Aids Walk San Francisco, with a one-of a-kind charity event, Fashion Fights Aids.
A benefit fashion show, and official launch party for the SF Aids, Walk, Fashion Fights Aids features local designers REBEL VOICES, SERENA HUGHES DESIGN, West Coast Leather, L BY LASAN, JOSEPHINE RESORT , INLUSH, BYANBE, FASHION ART 4 HUMANITY, G82 DESIGN, Agape Luv and NK SWIM.
Tickets for the event, which will be held at the Horizon Lounge 498 Broadway in San Francisco, are $15 presale online, or $20 a.t.d. Doors at 9PM runway show soon after.
In addition to organizing the show, from which all proceeds will go to the SF AIDS Foundation, a FFA team for the SF Aids Walk is currently being assembled via Facebook. To donate, or participate visit the official page.
